พระธรรมปิฎก ป.อ. ปยุตโต (Most venerable P.A. payutto) ซึ่งท่านเอง
ก็ได้รับรางวัล ยูเนสโก สาขา การศึกษาเพื่อสันติภาพ Unesco prize for peace education 1994.

ยิ่งพัฒนาความศิวิไลซ์ เศรษฐกิจ สังคมแบบนี้เท่าไร ยิ่งทำให้สูญเสียทรัพยากรของโลกมากขึ้น..
"Lack of internal peace and happiness is the result of humen misdirected development,
we still hape hope that a redirection of education can solve the problem.But when an
individual finds no place or time to feel secure,he loses the last vestige of internal peace
.It is as if the loss of external peace recoiled to root our internal peace"
....ความขาดแคลนความสงบและความสุขภายใน คือ ผลของการพัฒนาแนวคิดที่ผิด
เราคงหวังว่าการกลับเข้าสู่หนทางที่ถูกด้วยการศึกษาที่ถูกต้องจะสามารถแก้ปัญหาได้
แต่เมื่อปักเจคบุคคล ไม่มีแม้สถานที่และเวลา ให้เขารู้สึกปลอดภัยแล้ว เขาจะสูญเสียแนวทางแห่งความสงบสุข
นั้นคือการสูญเสียความสงบภายนอกคือรากฐานของการสูญเสียความสงบภายใน

invade his or her neighbors and would not destroy the environment."
...โดยธรรมชาติ ผู้ที่มีความสบและความสุขภายในจิตใจ ย่อม ไม่บุกรุก เหยียบย้ำ เพื่อนบ้านและไม่ทำร้ายธรรมชาติ
