Knowledge of the world คืออะไร

ภาษาอังกฤษเพียวๆ  ก็ยากพอสมควรสำหรับบางท่านที่ทำความเข้าใจ 

ยังมีภาษาอังกฤษที่ยากกำลังสอง ที่จะต้องเข้าใจ  โดยนำบริบท สถานการณ์ที่เรียกว่า พื้นฐานวัฒนธรรม knowledge of the world มาเกี่ยวข้องด้วย.....

มาลองเดาดู  ทำไมครูอ้อยจึงต้องใช้คำว่า...เดา 

ก็เพราะความหมายของมัน  อาจจะดิ้นไปมา  ขึ้นอยู่กับสถานการณ์นั้นๆด้วย 

มันคือ Knowledge of the world.

มาลองเดา ดูนะคะ  .....

I'm feeling very frustrated. I have so much work to do, and I'm still waiting for tech support to upgrade my system to improve the processing speed.I feel like I'm doing the job of three people.I tried multi-tasking,  but even when I talk on the phone and read and answer my e-mail at the same time, I can't get everything done.I'm also having problems with my staff .I have one person who always make waves and causes argument with the rest of the staff.....

คำที่จะกล่าวในวันนี้ ..... คือ 

 
upgrade ..... to improve / change for the better  หมายถึง  ทำสิ่งเดิมๆ  แต่ให้ดีกว่าเดิม..

multi-tasking.....doing more than one thing at the same time....หมายถึง  ทำงานในเวลาเดียวกันหลายๆอย่าง 

make waves.....causes trouble.....หมายถึง   สร้างปัญหา  ทำภาระ  ทำความหนักใจ  ให้กับ....

เห็นไหมคะ  ว่า  ภาษาอังกฤษนั้น  ผู้อ่าน ต้องพยายามทำความเข้าใจ  โดย..เข้าไปอยู่ในสถานการณ์นั้นด้วย  และจะต้องมีความรู้พื้นฐานในเรื่องนั้นๆด้วย 

ผู้อ่านจะต้องเดาปริบท  ซึ่งมันสอดแทรกอยู่ในเนื้อความนั้น ให้ได้  เช่น .....I tried multi-tasking,  but even when I talk on the phone and read and answer my e-mail at the same time, I can't get everything done. 

เราสามารถเดา  ความหมายของคำว่า .... multi-tasking  โดยอ่าน ข้างหลัง ของคำนี้คือ...but even when I talk on the phone and read and answer my e-mail at the same time, I can't get everything done.  หมายถึง  ในเวลเดียวกัน ทำงานหลายอย่าง  อันได้แก่..พูดโทรศัพท์  อ่าน และตอบ อีเมล์  ...เป็นต้น  

พอเราอ่านได้  อ่านเข้าใจ  เราก็ต้องใช้เทคนิคการอ่านนี้  นำไปใช้ในการเขียนด้วย...จะได้ประโยชน์ 2 ทางเลย  ได้เรียนรู้ 2 ทักษะ...ไงล่ะคะ
