จากที่ดิฉันอยากรู้ว่า  คำว่า  การรู้เท่าทัน   ฝรั่งเข้าใจว่าอย่างไร?   จากนั้น  เพื่อหาข้อมูลเบื้องต้น  ว่าวิชา Communication Literacy  ของฝรั่งเขาสอนเนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับอะไรบ้าง    ดิฉันก็ตามคุณกุ๊กเกิ้ลเข้าไปที่

แล้วก็ได้เห็นดังเนื้อความข้างล่างว่า มหาวิทยาลัยข้างต้นเปิดสอนวิชานี้ เน้นไปที่กระบวนการสื่อสาร  มีทั้งทฤษฎีและปฏิบัติ ที่เกี่ยวเนื่องด้วยการสื่อสารทั้งวัฒนธรรมเดียวกันและข้ามวัฒนธรรม  ฯลฯ

Initial discussions have created the possibility of a new course or set of courses identified as “Communication Literacy.”

These introductory courses will focus on identifying communication as a unique area of study in that its content (communication processes) is mirrored in its use. Indeed, several communication theorists discuss “practical theory” or “communication praxis” to identify the nature of what we study as both a theoretical and pragmatic endeavor.

Students also come to us to learn more about communication in both its conceptual and applied contexts. Re-envisioning the introductory course(s) in a new unit allows us the opportunity to explore the blend of what communication
theory/practice involves and how best to define and prepare students to have higher levels of communication literacy (a mission consistent with a liberal arts education in Arts and Sciences).

This will include, but not be limited to, increased understanding and effectiveness in public speaking, non-fiction writing, media viewing and reading, new media and technology, as well as cultural, intercultural, and international interaction.

Communication Literacy

Communication literacy is the critical awareness of the central role of communication in society, and faculty in the Department of Communication believe that it is the foundation of a thoughtful and engaged citizenry.

Communication literacy includes two primary components: recognition of the important influences of social context and institutions, mass media and other communication technologies, law and ethics, rhetoric, and language in all its forms; and a reflective approach to one's own participation in the creation, exchange, and reception of meaning through communication.

Students majoring in communication develop their literacy through a wide range of courses, and many students throughout the University of Washington enroll in COM 220 (Public Speaking) and related courses.

 

 ดิฉันคิดว่าการเรียนการสอนของเขาเป็นระบบ ครบกระบวน ตามองค์ความรู้ในสายการสื่อสาร หรือ นิเทศศาสตร์นะคะ 

และอยากรู้ต่อเนื่องไปด้วยว่าเขาใช้กระบวนการฝึกนักศึกษาของเขา  ให้เกิดทักษะ Communication Literacy Skill  ด้วยวิธีการอย่างไร? 

.......และเขาเน้นที่การ  "ฝึกนิสัย และฝึกจิตใจ" หรือไม่?
